Welcome! I write lighthearted fiction for readers fourteen and up, stories about pushing boundaries and figuring out who you are. My favorite books are about people who feel like they don’t belong, those who identify as different, fringe, or other. I believe in thinking for yourself and following your heart in this hard, funny, painful, and beautiful world.
MY INVENTED LIFE by Lauren Bjorkman — Contemporary YA — Drama geeks, Roz and Eva, are as close as sisters can be. Until they aren't. In this modern-day Shakespearean comedy featuring mistaken identities, rivalry, and ambiguous sexuality, Shakespearean insults fly and love wins.
MISS FORTUNE COOKIE by Lauren Bjorkman — Contemporary YA — Meet socially awkward Erin, excellent student and friend. Mastermind of a secret advice blog. But when her advice backfires, Erin's carefully constructed life spins off in an unexpected direction. This lighthearted romp set in San Francisco's Chinatown offers a thoughtful take on cultural identity and friendship.
